Have had a roadrunner.com e-mail account for many years. Couple of years ago, for reasons I no longer remember, I opened a yahoo e-mail account. So far as I know,  there was no link between the two accounts. Couple of months ago, I closed the yahoo account. Now, when someone sends me mail to the roadrunner account, I receive the mail, but the sender receives an error message that the mail could not be delivered to the yahoo account. Since they don’t read the whole message, they assume I did not receive it. Any suggestions?

Did you contact RoadRunner and ask them why? They may have some information available to them at the server level.

You could also check your RoadRunner mail settings to see if email forwarding has been set up to send the mail to the yahoo account.

I don't know anything about RoadRunner mail options but with my ISP I could set up email forwarding AND have a copy kept in my ISP mail. The mail will be in my ISP inbox but senders will get a bounce message if the address it's forwarded to is not valid.

If you do find it is set up to forward a copy to Yahoo disable it.
