Recently I got the White Screen Malware where my windows vista will load and then the whole screen goes white and all I have is my cursor. I know that using malwarebytes in safe mode I can get rid of this problem. I shut down my computer and hit f8 to get to the boot menu and I went into safe mode. As soon as I logged in to safe mode my computer immediately restarted. Now whenever I hit f8 I am prompted with "Windows Boot Manager" and it says"choose operating system to start". My only option is Windows Vista or go to "Windows Memory Diagnostics" . I ran the diagnostics and it found no problems. After trying to restart and press f8 I was able to bring up the safe mode option two more times but it did the same thing after I logged into safe mode, restarting.

I have my windows vista cd, but the computer has been really crappy about reading cds for a few years now. Like I said earlier Windows loads fine, but the malware prevents me from doing anything, and I cant get my computer into safe mode to get rid of the malware.

I also downloaded the Farbar recovery tool, put it on a flash, plugged it into the infected computer and tried to boot from the flash drive but all I get is the blinking white dash in the upper left hand corner.

Any help is appreciated, thanks
