I ran a Micro troubleshooter on my pc  ( Dell Inspiron 1501 laptop OS W 7 Ultimate 2008 SP 1 32-Bits} and one of the results said AVGIDSShim.sys not working.I can't find info on this system (?) program (?). Micro didn't turn up any results. Is it an W 7or Dell issue? Is it a new/old virus?

Any info would be greatly appreciated.CherylT

Hello Cheryl as this is a system file issue we need to repost and get a deeper look.

Whether it exits or is hidden we cannot just randomly pull it if we find it.

Please follow this Preparation Guide and post in a new topic.

Let me know if all went well.
