laptop memory card reader

Hi,

i recently had to change my laptop's HDD since it was corrupted, and then after changing it my SD Card Reader stopped working and every time i plug a memory into it i get a "Format Driver" message.... what shall i do with it?

I have a HP Pavilion dv6 notebook.

Well, this issue also happens to me, just try few more time, if it sitll does not work then  I guess, your sd card slot was damaged.

 

Alternatively, you may use a card reader like this , plug your sd card in the card reader and use it as a usb to read sd card.

yeah i have alreday bought an external reader like the one u mentioned :D

 

is there anyway to change the internal reader? i mean could that be replaced?

Well, I mean, you don't want to spend a lot of money to fix that right?

 

Actually, I found this thread and it may be useful for you. Btw, have you tried to update the latest driver for your laptop?
