Hello,

I did a very silly thing when I used Hardware Helper to identify all my driver updates and then tried to install them all at once without reboots !    The result is that I can't boot.  I can't boot into Safe Mode or any other route offered.  The ' NTLDR is missing ' message blocks every route.

This machine utilises XP Pro and has two HDDs configured in striped RAID.  The stripe is still healthy.  I have it partitioned to store all my data on a separate partition and I really need to recover that data if I can't get the machine to boot into XP Pro.   Can somebody guide me through this, please ?

Hello,

Thanks for that-  but nothing there works for me.    I can't boot into Safe Mode or any other route offered. The ' NTLDR is missing ' message blocks every route.

OK, I've copied the files to a USB drive , set the malfunctioning computer to boot from both USB-HDD and USB-ZIP options but with no result.   Computer continues to boot to ' NTLDR is missing.  Press any key to restart.'

Download ISO from the above link and burn it to a CD using "Imgburn" . Using a CD is much easier than creating a bootable USB drive.
