I started out just wanting a desktop gadget to let me see a Twitter feed without opening up Firefox.  I found dozens of them, most of them sounding a lot more complicated than what I wanted.  Now I'm thinking it might be good to be able to post to both at once.  I might even want to handle my work accounts as well as my personal accounts.  Plus Pinterest would be nice.

I read a number of reviews that put Tweetdeck at the top of the deck, along with something else that sounded nicer but was said to be a resource hog.  I haven't got a lot of resources, especially on the laptop.  I don't even know what most of the features are talking about, so I think it may be too heavy-duty for me.

Anybody have recommendations for me?

Thanks!

So I'm reading that Tweetdeck has "died."  So that's out of the running.  Btw, I have no mobile device, just a desktop & a laptop.  Oh, and I guess LinkedIn would be good to have as well.  But mainly, Facebook & Twitter.  I hardly ever check in on Twitter, so I don't get much out of it.  I think seeing it more often would help.  I feel like it's good for me to be familiar with it, for potential jobs.

So my criteria:

  1. Twitter feed on desktop
  2. Post on Twitter & FB
  3. Pinterest, LinkedIn, StumbleUpon would be neat to have, too.
