I'm in the market for an rss reader and am having difficulty finding one to meet my needs.

I primarily use an android s3.

These are the things I need in my reader.

-Somewhat attractive interface.  Something pleasing to use.

-Offline reading mode.

-Non intrusive

-Very private.  No data mining, collection, storage or sharing by the developer.

-Doesn't have to be free.  Willing to pay for this.

Basically, I just want a reader that will show me the items that I want it to update me with.  Nothing more.  Don't care about social/sharing aspects or having the app look into my history and through my phone trying to find things to suggest to me.

Does anyone have any suggestions?  These seem like fairly straight forward "demands" and I can't imagine I'm the only one who wants these things.  Just having trouble finding something on my own.

Thanks a lot guys!

I've been looking for two years for something and have not found anything myself, much less with all your requirements. Your requirements are a little more formidable than mine. If you find something please share.

Thank you for your thoughtful, albeit disheartening reply.  I will definitely update if I find anything.

Do you, or anyone, have any ideas on what might come closest to what I'm looking for?  Like the least evil privacy wise etc....

Thanks again!

With Google Reader closing, chances are pretty good that RSS will be obsolete in the next couple of years. For one thing, a lot of the other readers used the Google API and are closing too. Feedly is getting good reviews and they will remain open. It's free and they have an Android app. I haven't used it and I have switched all my RSS feeds to Twitter. That's where RSS is going.

I just remembered that Lifehacker posted an article recently on building a personal RSS reader using Tiny Tiny RSS. Check out the link.

Thank you!  That actually looks pretty close to what I'm looking for.  I'm gonna give it a shot.
