Go here: http://support.lenovo.com/en_US/downloads/default.page?selector=expand

Select your desktop model, download and install chipset driver.

Did you actually find the drivers for your system?

http://support.lenovo.com/en_US/downloads/default.page?selector=expand

P4 HT is not the model...you need to enter the correct data to search for the drivers.

Louis

You should be able to find the system model data by doing the following.

Start/Run...type msinfo32 and hit Enter.

Write down and post the data reflected for System Model.

Please download MiniToolBox, save it to your desktop and run it.

Checkmark following boxes:

  • List Devices (do NOT change any settings)
  • List Users, Partitions and Memory size

Click Go and post the result.

You will need to install drivers for any of the devices Device Manager is lacking the drivers for. The Audio driver tab is three above Chipset.

You have to do things in order.

IF you installed chipset driver now it's time to download and install audio driver.

You cannot install the drivers from within Device Manager, have you been following the installation instructions in the txt files on the Lenovo support site?

When you say "doesn't work" can you give more detail of what actually happens? e.g. does the downloaded .exe file extract, can you find and run the setup.exe files, any error messages?
