Double check to ensure that your automatic updates are turned on and have not some how been turned to manual.

In Windows 8 metro (start) just start typing "update". When the list starts to populate, on the right hand side click or tap on "settings" then click or tap on "Turn automatic updating on or off".

Hope this helps any...

Normally updates come once a month on 2nd Tuesday of the month.

In emergency situation MS may issue some extra updates.
