Last week, my computer was infected with the cybercrime virus.  I used malwarebytes to remove it.  However, since I removed the virus I have the following issues:

1.  Explorer.exe will not run

2.  I cannor right click on a program or I get an explorer error.

3.  Windows live mail will not open, telling me that my disk is full.

4.  IE works but will not run active X

5.  I can not create a new user profile so that I can run as an administrator.

Other than that...all works fine...

Any suggestions for me?

Thanks!

Hello, can you do these?

Windows Repair Tool

  • Run command Prompt as Administrator. To do that:
    • Go to Start and type cmd.exe in the Search box.
    • It gives you cmd.exe in the upper part. Right-click cmd.exe and select "Run As Administrator".
    • Copy the following command, right-click in the open Command prompt window and select Paste then press Enter: sfc /scannow

This will check the integrity of system files and replaces them if needed. Please wait until the scan is done.

  • Please download Windows Repair All in One zip file and unzip it.
    • Open the folder and run Repair_Windows.exe
    • Under "Start Repair" tab click "Start".
    • Click "No" to the prompt.
    • Unselect all the option. Then select only the following options:

      • Register System Files
      • Repair WMI.
      • Repair Windows Firewall.
      • Remove Policies Set by Infection.
    • Press Start.
  • Important: Restart
