Hi,

I will try to make this as short and simple as possible--I was trying to download a NES emulator from the following site: h t t p://www.emulator-zone.com/doc.php/nes/

Long story short, in the process of my download attempts I mistakenly clicked on one of the "Download" buttons which is actually an ad from a third-party site, and the harvest I wound up reaping from such efforts was that I accidentally downloaded some sort of malware package that downloaded at least 2 or 3 different malware programs--one of which I can't seem to get off of my PC. I uninstalled all of the programs that I downloaded using the Add/Remove Programs tool in the Control Panel. After that I ran full scans with Malwarebytes and Spybot Search & Destroy. Malwarebytes found 1 Trojan which it was able to remove. Spybot found malware associated with all three malware programs I downloaded. It was able to remove two. It was unable to remove Yantoo.paperage. After that I restarted my computer and did full scans with both Spybot and Malwarebytes again. This time Malwarebytes found nothing, while Spybot found the crap associated with Yantoo.paperage (5 registry keys) still there, which it still can't remove. It says it can't remove it because they are probably still in use, and tells me that I should log on as an administrator and scan again (even though I am logged in as administrator).

I think that pretty much covers it. Look forward to hearing from someone who can help me get rid of this thing.

Edit: Link to potentially deceptive website deactivated to prevent anyone from inadvertently getting infected. Please do not visit that site without adequate malware protection enabled.~ Animal

How is computer doing?

Update Adobe Reader

You can download it from http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readstep2.html
After installing the latest Adobe Reader, uninstall all previous versions (if present).
Note. If you already have Adobe Photoshop® Album Starter Edition installed or do not wish to have it installed UNcheck the box which says Also Download Adobe Photoshop® Album Starter Edition.

Alternatively, you can uninstall Adobe Reader (33.5 MB), download and install Foxit PDF Reader(3.5MB) from HERE.
It's a much smaller file to download and uses a lot less resources than Adobe Reader.
Note: When installing FoxitReader, make sure to UN-check any pre-checked toolbar, or any other garbage.
