New Samsung Tab. We've managed to synch gmail app to the att.net email, but for some reason the contacts aren't synching.  I can't figure out how to synch through the Contacts app (though skype contacts synched automatically).  The Contacts app wants to go to a gmail.com account as opposed to the att.net account.

To the best of my knowledge contacts do not synch. Only the ability to download mail from the servers.

If someone else has found a way to also synch contacts please contribute.

My contacts, are synced with my Gmail account.
Turned out to be a good thing.
When my Dell died, I went with the HTC OneX.
The Dell SIM would not fit the HTC (too large), so all of my contacts were lost.
Logged into my Gmail account with the HTC, synced contacts, and everything was good.

The reason for using Gmail is that once my contract expires, I'll be rooting the phone, and deleting everything AT&T/HTC related.

I can sync my contacts, Gmail, Google Play Books, Internet bookmarks, and tasks with my Gmail account.
