I/o Problems

when i try to start a small prog.that requires the use of the printer port after the prog starts i get the error "could not acquire I/O.windows NT?2K users must have adm.rights.i'm running xp pro with all adm rights any suggestions

Is this a network printer you access by using a lan or is it installed on your computer?

this is not concerning the printer,my printer is run on a usb port,this is my parall port i don't have anything hooked upto it,there must be a conflict as this prog tries to open this port a can't

Which program is it? Could it be compatibility issues with the version that you're using?
My browser caused a flood of traffic, sio my IP address was banned. Hope to fix it soon. Will get back to posting as soon as Im able.

no compatibility issues,it worked before i downloaded net framework 2 and it stopped my windows onecare,they told me to remove net framework and i 've had probs.sense.i don't know for sure if this affected it or not.
