I have had the same problem sinceI bought my laptop. The PROBLEM with some video cards isthat they are CRAP and NVIDIA was the DEF. in a class action suit because of this. Little less perceived "tude" from some would go a ways. Eventually you will get to where i am and that is the cpu boots but there are zero display options. I could use some advice, and for the record I am a programmer with 10 yrs exp. not an expert on hardware with so many old memories to lose.

I have split you to your own topic.. It is always the best way as subtle differences in the two machines can make the repairs different.

Can you post a DDS log in a new topic per these instructions...

Please follow this Preparation Guide do steps 6,7, 8 and post in a new topic.
Let me know if all went well.

If you cannot produce the log then just repost your info above in the new forum as your situation requires one of our Malware Techs.

How do I get help? Who is helping me?For the time will come when men will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear....Become a BleepingComputer fan: Facebook
