When trying to send messages via Thunderbird from my Hotmail account, I am unable to send any mail.

I am able to get email to my Hotmail account tho.

Has Hotmail changed any server settings lately?

Could someone please verify what those settings should be?

The error message I get is:

Mail server responded: From address not verified-see http://help.yahoo.com/I/us/yahoo/mail/original/manage/send from-07.html. Please verify your email address is correct in your mail preferences+try again.

Thanks for any help you can offer.

Take a look here: https://support.mozillamessaging.com/en-US/kb/thunderbird-and-hotmail

And the server settings are here: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/hotmail/send-receive-email-from-mail-client

Sorry I don't use Thunderbird so I can't test and verify for you.

okay, I went to my bookmarked Hotmail account. To my surprise it is now called Outlook.Com by Microsoft. I can still access it with my Hotmail info, but now I'm wondering if all my server settings have to be changed so I can send email thru T-Bird.

My main ISP +default server is AT+T thru Yahoo. How confusing is this going to get? Need more help, please.

Thanks

My Hotmail account was upgraded to Outlook.com

From that page at the bottom:
Can I still use my POP3/SMTP messaging client with Outlook.com?

Yes. The settings for your POP3/SMTP client are the same settings you used for accessing Hotmail. If you need a settings refresher, this page should help.

The 'this page' link goes to the one I linked to above: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/hotmail/send-receive-email-from-mail-client

The only thing I can suggest is completely redoing all your Thunderbird settings from the ground up and see if that works. I've never used Thunderbird so I'm not that much help with that app.
