I have a hp pavilion dv5 laptop. The problem is the keyboard. When you press any key, it will beep once and hesitate then after holding it down for 3 seconds the key will function. I’ve tried uninstalling the drivers, checking the settings. The keys are fine, none are stuck. I remove a lot of malware. The computer is running good but for this problem. If I go into safe mode, it does the same thing. When the computer boots-up. The keys seem to work when selecting safe mode. Anyone have an idea?  Thanks

It is running vista.
