I can't view any files in my c:\ drive and i keep getting errors telling me the drive is totally full, free space only a few Mb. I have tried running Spybot which finds a couple of spyware and nothing else. So i tried to download AVG and can't access any of the AVG websites. I have managed to download AVG from a mirror site that's not called AVG, downloaded and installed and it tries to update AVG and fails, virus is blocking AVG update servers. So i downloaded the latest version of AVG from another mirror and installed and it runs but scans 0 files on c: drive, as it thinks it's empty
I then downloaded Trojan remover and this found 75! different types of Trojan throughout my harddrives and partitions. I then restarted AVG and it looks like it's now running a full scan and i can now see my c: drive files and folders again.
My question is how did spybot miss all this, i used to believe Spybot was the best free Anti program out there but not anymore. How can i prevent this from happening again what other tools do i need to run or will AVG keep me protected. Also can i post a log file on here when i'm finished for someone to check i've removed all the nasties?
