I use FF mostly; however, rarely can't use and need IE to work.  Since November I noticed it won't work in the first tab but will the second.  Today I tried to use and notice all of a sudden my IE 64-bit, which I never used, is no longer on the computer.  Also, something I couldn't watch on FF (due to all the security) and can usually watch on IE wouldn't play and said I needed Adobe flash player which I have.

In the past I tried the following, and none worked or worked for longer than my next login:

MS Fixit for How to reset IE settings, Open IE>Tools>General>Delete Browsing History, Tools>Internet Options>Advanced>Reset

Nothing works.  How do I fix this.

Also, I don't have Java.  Does that make a difference?

I have windows 7 64-bit

The 32 bit version of IE and Java is workable in any 64 bit Windows system. I rarely use the 64 bit versions.

Try downloading Speccy and then install the program.  To post and publish a snapshot of your PC.
. In the Menu bar, click File -> Publish Snapshot
. Click Yes > then Copy to Clipboard
. On your next reply, right-click on a empty space and click Paste on reply box then click Post.
Download SecurityCheck.exe from Here

. Run SecurityCheck and follow the instruction from inside the code box.
. When the scan is finished, a notepad will automatically open as check.txt
Please copy and paste the contents here on your next reply.

Download MiniToolBox and select all options.
A notepad will open then copy-paste the report on your next reply.
