Could anyone please help me?
I recently reinstalled my grandson's computer, using windows xp pro.
To the best of my knowledge I installed all the drivers needed, but everytime I try to play music on musicmatch I get the eror message. "waveout format not supported". Does anyone know what the problem might be.
The same thing happens when I try to play a disk on musicmatch or media player.
ON checking the device driver all the drivers seem to be operating all right.
Thanking you in anticipation.
Regards. Terry

Do you get sound otherwise, IE the Windows welcome sound?

What file extensions are not working? IE .wav, .Mp3, etc?

What do you see in the device manager under "Sound, Video and Game Controllers"?
