Do you have Pro/Engineer design software or Creo Elements/Pro on your computer, or a CAD CAM program?  This is usually what this type of file is used with.

If you don't have any of these installed, where did you get this file?

My daughter emailed it to me from school.  It is a project they are working on in class and then finishing up at home.

I have never heard of those programs.

You need to explain to your daughter that you need a program to be able to open these files.

Since your daughter is using this software in her class, ask her to check there to see if there is a way to convert these files to txt files jpeg type files.
