Hi,

As a silver server, having used PCs since 1982 and most Windows operating systems todate, I loaded Windows 8 in January and was less than happy with the initial problems experienced. Hense my introduction to BleepingComputer by my daughter, which I have found a first class tool, well done to all who participate to make it what it is.

Compatability with other software and the social networking programmes in particular indicated to me that 8 was introduced without sufficient ground work. However I am now getting used to the system and am pleased with the speed and progress made in overcoming the majority of problems other than Security, which have been well answered in the forum.

I think you will find the information about W8 useful, especially since it is a new and somewhat unusual operating system. Please don't hesitate to post a question if you find yourself "lost" in it.

Thanks for joining and welcome to BC!
Regards,

John
