Hi and thank you in advance for any help and all reccomendations, as this is my first post and im not sure im posting my inquiry in the correct place, lets hope i have.
My problem is we had a scottstrade personal stock page downloaded to our computer which it had its own icon that we could easily access to do our personal stock trades and follow our investments, no one has used computer in this house besides my spouse as he went to click the site today, he found the entire site is no longer on our home computer, he said he checked to see if he was able to remove the file to be sure it wasnt hidden but there is no scotttrade file to be removed because its mysteriously disappeared from computer, before i go messing it up trying to download it again or find it, are there any steps i should take to be sure its gone? Plus any thoughts why its disappeared and how? And what steps should i take before downloading the scotttrade site if i can since somehow our old page is gone

I can't explain why the icon was missing. Have you made any changes to your computer since the last time you signed into the website.

To reproduce the icon go to http://www.scottrade.com/LP/7dollar-trades/?&sctr=24742|Scottrade+%28Misp%29|scottrades||1_b&gclid=CLDtnL6t87UCFUhgMgodXVcAcw and sign in. I'd check that nothing has changed on your account since you last visited...

One last thing. Are you running a good antivirus program and keeping it up todate. No reason to think this is virus/malware related, just a good practise...take care

After asking the Mr. If he shut computer down and him saying yes, i found scottrade tried opening got an error saying program wont run win32?? I ran a couple updates suggested he try and download again, which scottrade wouldn't allow from its site, then he shuts computer off unplugs it and restarts and bam its back up and running on homepage! Wow didnt i ask if he had done this already? He said he only rebooted it, but its working, lets hope it stays that way, and i did scold him on not keeping security up to par, especially since scottrade offers a year free of protection! Thanks for advice and suggestions!
