I have recently had some computer issues that forced me to do a complete reinstall of my operating system XP Pro.  My computer was running very slow and I had gone through the all the virus debugging that was possible and still my computer was having issues.  Conclusion it was a side effect of a infection on my computer and being designed by Microsoft.  I am now running into another issue were my computer hangs during install. It will have a blue screen with the message Examining (specific number) MB Disk 0 at Id on Bus 0 on ATAPI.  I am not sure what this issue is or how to get around it.  I have run previously every diagnostic program to check the physical drive and all came back positive.  My drives are SATA and I think this might be a issue.  In addition id do not have a floppy drive.

Try using another SATA cable and different port this time.

Can you post the motherboard model or the complete desktop model/brand next time? Hopefully a manual online is available. What is the complete information printed on the Windows XP SP disc? What is the complete bluescreen report or error/stop? Do you see a BIOS settings option of AHCI          (emulation mode)?
