Hi Guys

In error during a Java download I installed the Ask toolbar. I don't want it! I have gone thru the uninstall procedure to no avail, any suggestions?

Hello -

http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/download/adwcleaner/ < Download link
AdwCleaner is a program that searches for and deletes Adware, Toolbars, Potentially Unwanted Programs (PUP), and browser Hijackers from your computer.
By using AdwCleaner you can easily remove many of these types of programs for a better user experience on your computer and while browsing the web.
NOTE:Close all open programs including your browser while the program runs.
To launch it click on Delete

XP users, double click on the download, Vista and Windows7 users, Right click on it and select Run as Administrator
Your computer will be Rebooted after the scan completes.
A log should be generated after scan ,post it here.

Thank You -

After you complete AdaWare scan please Download Junkware Removal Tool
Disable your Antivirus program if required
For vista and windows 7 right click on the tool and select run as administrator
After the scan is completed, post the generated log here.

Next -
Download SUPERAntiSpyware Free and run a full scan to check the ASK bar is gone -
Post the generated log back here -

Finally
Remove temporary and junk files
To clean out your temporary internet files and temp files.
Download TFC by OldTimer from HERE to your desktop.

Double-click TFC.exe to run it.

Note: If you are running on Vista / Windows7, right-click on the file and choose Run As Administrator

TFC will close all programs when run, so make sure you have saved all your work before you begin.
* Click the Start button to begin the cleaning process.
* Depending on how often you clean temp files, execution time should be anywhere from a few seconds to a minute or two.
* Please let TFC run uninterrupted until it is finished.
Once TFC is finished it should restart your computer. If it does not, please manually restart the computer yourself to ensure a complete cleaning.

Thank You -
