Hey all, this is the first build that I have ever done and I'm having some very frustrating issues. My computer crashes randomly to either a solid black, solid white, grey screen with lines, or green screen with lines upon either starting up or while playing any of Far Cry 3, FFXIV Beta, and frequently while just browsing through Chrome. It has even crashed once while in the control panel. The odd part is, when the the computer is running the games, they run flawlessly with absolutely no problems and can sometimes maintain gameplay for up to 3hrs...until the dreaded crash again.

I have a brother who lives out of state who has tried helping me over the phone and while his "fixes" have made things a little more stable and less common, I still get the crashes and have to force a hard reset.

Components are:

CPU:Intel i5 3570K
GPU: Sapphire Radeon 7950 HD 3GB GDDR5
PSU: Corsair tx750 80+ Gold
MB: Sabertooth z77
RAM: 2X4 G.Skill Sniper series 1866MHZ
HDD: WD 500GB, Seagate 2TB
It also has a blu-ray player, coolermaster heat sink, and a cooler master HAF case for what it's worth.

So far I have made sure to get all Windows updates, All driver updates for the GPU including the 13.2 beta drivers, a clean reinstall of Win7 Ultimate, the latest BIOS update for the MB, and have set all settings back to default in the BIOS. Personally I'm at a complete loss of what to do next, my brother seems insistent that it is on the software side of things with lack of driver support from Sapphire or compatibility issues with the Sabertooth, but I honestly don't even know where else to start looking for solutions.

Thanks in advance!

Went to power on pc again after a crash and hard reboot...no HDMI output any longer. Rig starts, fans on it are spinning and I get a 4 beep error with device light on. Going to assume card is shot at this point and just RMA :/

It's a shame I was really looking forward to this card.

Hi,

I suggest you to reseat your RAM and Graphics card for your beeping problems. Most of the time, this will solve the beeping issue.

For your freezing issues, I hope that the Beta Drivers which you have installed may the cause. Beta Version are not stable versions. Try some other stable version of the drivers and check whether your problem is solved.

Regards,

Chris
