Hey ! I have an ASUS A42F laptop. I just formatted it to windows 7 and the Sony HDTV to which i connect my laptop does not output any audio at all! the TV does not even show up in the playback devices tab. Before formatting it was just plug and play. I think it's a driver issue but have tried everything but to no avail....please help!!! really frustrated!

Hi,

Welcome to Bleeping Computer.

Your Default playback device may be change to your Normal audio output rather than the HDMI output. Please open Sound option from the Control Panel, and check which device is present as default. Change it to HDMI when your are playing videos.

Regards,

Chris
