Hi all. Hope to get some help with some wireless networking problems and hopefully help others if I can.

Based in the UK, I volunteer for a small charity and have maintained their computers and network for over 8 years without any formal training i.e. get a problem, search online and solve it.

At the moment I have 18 devices connected. 5 towers  (4LAN-1Homeplug)  4 laptops and an every increasing number of mobile devices (wifi). The wifi is extended using an Edimax EW-7416APn wireless access point.

I imagine your volunteer work takes up a lot of time; hopefully our Members can help you with your specific networking problems.

Thanks for joining and welcome to BC!

Regards,

John

Hello everyone,

My name is Tyler and I am a current student at Rasmussen College where I study Network Admin and Computer Forensics. I have came to this forum because I have read great things about you training programs for viruses. I am really looking to learn how to remove them more in depth. I really think computer forensics is neat and I know hackers use viruses and among other types spyware to attack the common user.

If anyone here has taken the training that this forum has offered please tell me more about it!

Hi Tyler, welcome to BC  :)

As you can see from my rank, I'm currently a Malware Removal Trainee. You can find information about the training program here. I admit the training is time consuming and challenging at times, but rewarding and fun if you're interested in computers.

If you want to join the program, as a first step, be active at the site. Try to get familiar with the site. Share your knowledge with others and help people. Also, you can start by reading tutorials, mini guides and the stickied topics in Antivirus, Firewall and Privacy Products and Protection Methods forum. That was what I did :)

Good luck :)
