Using Homeplugs with an adaptor plug?

I know the guidelines say to steer away from using extension plugs and say to plug straight into the wall but I am struggling so was wondering whether anyone has tried plugging them into an adaptor plug? (as opposed to an extension cable)


Is there a significant drop in speed across the connection (if any)?
