My neighbor asked that I help them buy a computer that will work well for their situation.  There situation is this.  They like to play a video game called Battle Pirates and they need a computer that can play this game to its fullest potential and keep up with the on screen graphics.  They are only looking to spend 500-600.00 and is ok with getting a used machine.  Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Edit: Moved topic from Computer Gaming to the more appropriate forum. ~ Animal

Ah no worries, the Toshiba Satellite L955-S5142NR has a dual core i3 processor and has Intel HD4000 graphics which is more then enough for the game plus they get 640GB of storage space.

I try not to buy from Newegg because I have to add sales tax due to their shipping from my state.

The same comp is for sale on Amazon for a few dollars less and probably no sales tax for you.

Amazon.com: Toshiba Satellite L955-S5142NR 15.6-Inch Laptop (Fusion Finish in Mercury Silver): Computers & Accessories

Price:
$528.00 + $8.00 shipping

Ah tax, we usually don't deal with tax as it is already included with the price in Australia.

My state has a high sales tax. Purchasing that comp from Newegg would of cost $50.87 more in taxes in Tn.

It would be more equitable if we had an income tax. Warren Buffet and Bill Gates would pay the same tax as I

do on a loaf of bread. But going to an income tax is too rational for this state.

In Australia, our goods are taxed 10% so basically the tax for that system would be $52.80.
