Hi all, I hope this is the right forum to post this query!

The lcd screen on my hp netbook recently got broken, and now no longer functions at all. The computer still turns on and sounds as if it is booting up, but I can't think of a way to connect an external monitor to retrieve the data on the hard drive, as it has no VGA or HDMI port built in.

Is there any way anyone can think around this? I'm thinking any solution would most likely have to be 'plug and play', as obviously, it's hard to envisage installing any drivers 'blind,' i.e. without any visual guide to what you're doing. The model is a HP/Compaq Mini 700.

Many thanks if anyone has any ideas!
