Hello Norton 360 Fans,
I run a Windows 7, SP 1, 64 bit Toshiba Satellite L755 laptop. I have tried to completely download and uninstall the 360 2013 version three times with NRnR, without success. The new icon appears, but I cannot open the 360 suite as I used to be able, although I can right click and select a function such as Update. I have been told I might have a registry problem, but I have cleaned the registry as much as I can, and am still unable to open the new Norton 360 2013 version.
Next, with advice from the Norton Community, I uninstalled Norton 360, used the Norton Removal Tool, and reinstalled Norrton 360 Standard. Unfortunately, Suite still will not open and not allow any further action and not does not even show as an icon on my desktop.
The computer did run well after cleaning the registry, except North 360. Of course, I made a copy of the registry and placed it on my desktop before doing something so dangerous.
I also had to remove trojans that caused 360 to notice performance alerts and run the machine hot for svchost.exe. I used Malware Bytes to do this. That problem has been fixed I thought... I did this about 4 days ago.
Can anyone suggest a solution? Any advice will be well received...thanks.
