PLease help me/ I have windows XP Professional! and use a NIC Card . i got cable modem! Before my cable modem was running smooothly. over 100 to 300 KBS! now when i download something it only goes to like 4KB-10KB!! Not only that but everywebsite i visit! it takes forever to load. this never happened before! I installed all windows Updates. i went to www.drivers.com and it said most of my drivers needed updates. But that i had to pay 25.00 just to get the updates. SO no i dont want to pay for that, I ran a Panda Virus scan. and there were viruses in the past. but not any more. I used to get MAssive Spyware like coolWWW and all them other ones. but i ran Ad Ware SE and SPYBOT programs. even Giant AntiSPyware program! But they kept coming back. But now i think im virus and spyware free.!! BuT the problem is Internet is really slow! I think i may have tampered with a setting but i dont know! also My cookies and Temp Files. fill up quick. I want setting so that no Temp Files or Cookies Could be there! But i cant find the program for that. i dont want to keep opening INternet Explorer click on Setting and deleting the TEMP files manually. It fills up quick and slows down internet pages even more! SO If you know a program where i t will just stop Temp files from saving or coming in my Temp Folder. Please give me that link

ALSO! Since MY TEMP folders fils up quick in a day. Many images wont show up!! on all the websites i usally visit. i have to keep deleting them. but my interenet is really slow now! i have a 1.8ghx 128 MB of ram computer. Earthlink is my ISP provider. Please help! guys! what should i do! to get my internet like it was before .and stop all these problems! to get my internet fast again!!! reply asap!!!!!! . I have all the windows updates. from microsoft expect for Service pack 1 and 2.

Hey Please help me! Heres more problems i forgot to mention! alot of times! my mouse Freezes also. I would have to press Cntrl, ALt, delete and just press on the up and down arrows , untill i hear a Beep, and my mouse would unfreeze. I still get that problem also. Now! when i try to download anything especially from Download.com it only goes 6Kb to 4KB and since its so slow. It times out alot anbd never finishes downloading.

I want you to fix some of those entries. Please do the following:

Please make sure that you can view all hidden files. Instructions on how to do this can be found here:

How to see hidden files in Windows

Run Hijackthis again, click scan, and Put a checkmark next to each of these. Then click the Fix button:

R3 - URLSearchHook: (no name) - _{20EC3D2D-33C1-4C9D-BC37-C2D500688DA2} - (no file)
O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [Boost XP Service] C:\Program Files\Boost XP\bxservice.exe
O6 - HKCU\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Restrictions present
O6 - HKCU\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Control Panel present
O6 - HKCU\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Toolbars\Restrictions present
O9 - Extra button: Ebates - {6685509E-B47B-4f47-8E16-9A5F3A62F683} - file://C:\Program Files\Ebates_MoeMoneyMaker\Sy350\Tp350\scri350a.htm (file missing) (HKCU)
C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\Desktop\cdv3.exe
Reboot your computer into Safe Mode

Then delete these files or directories (Do not be concerned if they do not exist)

C:\Program Files\Ebates_MoeMoneyMaker\
C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\Desktop\cdv3.exe

Reboot your computer to go back to normal mode and post a new log.

Fix these:

O2 - BHO: IE BHO - {3D1B06AB-EF14-4FF9-871A-9B023FA28A7E} - C:\WINDOWS2\System32\IEAdsFilter.dll
O6 - HKCU\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Toolbars\Restrictions present

Reboot and delete:

C:\WINDOWS2\System32\IEAdsFilter.dll

Reboot and post a last log.

Did you use msconfig to remove some of those other entries?

I would definitely get rid of this...as its not necessary.

Other than there is nothing bad in your log. You are severely behind in windows updates though and should do the following:

Your log shows that you are seriously behind on windows updates. It is essential that you update your windows before we continue to help you as the infections could reoccur. Go to http://www.windowsupdate.com and if it asks to install software, let it. Then click on the Scan link and let it do its thing. When its done you will see on your left a section called critical updates. Click on that section and install everything that you can. When it prompts you to reboot, do so. Then repeat this process again until there are no more critical updates listed. Then post a new log.
