A short time after we installed Windows 7 on our pc, it started acting erratically.  Sometimes it will be normal, then freeze, sometimes the fan will get really loud, sometimes it will just shut down to a blue screen.  Even when I don't have a lot of programs running one internet explorer open seems to be too much for it to handle.

Hope you could help.

Thanks,

Polarsnowfall

My unknowing guess at this point...would be system overheating or other hardware anomaly.

Please download MiniToolBox  , save it to your desktop and run it.

Checkmark the following checkboxes:
List last 10 Event Viewer log
  List Installed Programs
List Users, Partitions and Memory size.

Click Go and paste the content into your next post.

Also...please Publish a Snapshot using Speccy - http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/topic323892.html/page__p__1797792#entry1797792 , following the directions for posting the link in your next post.

Thanks so much for your quick reply!

Here's the results for MiniToolBox, but Piriform Speccy couldn't obtain any computer info!  Is there a way to make it work?

Did you want the link to the snapshot, because I can't figure out how to upload the actual snapshot. Thank you.

Seems that you video card is overheating, which could account for symptoms you describe other than "high RAM usage".

Your CPU has a max temp of 72 Celsius...current temp reflected in Speccy is 77 Celsius.

Moving your topic to Internal Hardware.

Hi,

Could someone from internal hardware advise me on the next step to take, please?  I have dusted everything out and there was a lot in all fans.

The temperatures shown in Speccy are still high of the graphics card at 79/80 C. And this is just the start up temp.

What should my next step be?

Thanks.

Ill take a go at this. The video card does look a bit high, Ive heard of those cards hitting 120+ but I wouldnt want to try it. Is this a custom computer or OEM? and what kind of power supply is it running?
