Annoying Time Popup

I find it very annoying that everytime i get close to the charm bar , the time pops up in a huge

grey box.


Is therer anyway to disable it ??

Disclaimer: I haven't personally tried this as I don't find the Charms Bar a problem.

Various features of the Charms bar can be tweaked via the registry.  

This site: Windows 8 - Kill the Charms Bar provides an explanation of features that can be modified as well as a link to download a package of "reg" files to turn that behavior on and off.  The link is a the end of the article.  

It is always important to create a new system restore point before modifying the Windows registry.
