I have an HP Pavillion with an ATI raedon HD 3200. I cant get the computer to sleep properly, I updated the drivers for the video card and then it wont sleep, if I downgrade the drivers it sleeps and will not wake up.  I have no idea what to do, ive checked the HP forums, and there are no posts dealing with this issue, any help would be greatly appreciated.

Various problems reported which deal with sleep...seem to trace to video drivers installed.  The current ones could be damaged.

I would uninstall them and install anew from either the CD which came with the system or drivers downloaded from the HP support page for your system.
