Hello to all the existing members. As a new member I am feeling my way around so please forgive any errors in protocol I may inadvertantly make. I have a desktop system using Windows 98 hooked up to a cable modem and also a notebook system that is connected to a wireless network using a Linksys router. The laptop uses Windows XP with SP2 applied. Both systems are located in my home as I am retired after 31 years as computer programming at Union Pacific Railroad. I am looking forward to finding answers to the questions I have and maybe helping a few members with problems or questions they may have.

Welcome Larryfil

Hope you stick around, take what you need, and give back as you're able.

There's a very diverse group on this board all helping one another.

The only easy day was yesterday.

YES, larryfil, with that combination my interest is automatically hightened. We will enjoy hearing from you, and I expect there will be opportunities for you to share the information that long-term use has provided you with others such as myself. I also used win98 prior to winXPproSP2 (and just as the typing of those names indicate, win98 is easier and works quite well) The details of how those two or three factors you mentioned coexist would be enlightening to many, I'm certain. Thank you for joining us.
