While the computer is booting, 9/10 times, it would have a series of clicks. If it clicks for 10 or so times, my computer would have something like "no array is defined" and I would have to boot it up again.
If there aren't a lot of clicks, then I can boot I up just fine.
While the computer is running, it would click sometimes too. If there are a short amount of clicks, there would be an error about a timeout. If there is a lot of clicks, it would blue screen. Throughout the day, it would blue screen maybe two times, less if I am lucky.
My question is this. Should I continue to use the computer? I have everything already backed up on an external, so I am not afraid of the hard drive crashing. I am already shopping for a new one since I'm pretty certain that the crash is imminent. But I kind of want to squeeze this one until it actually gives out on me.
But if the failing hard drive can affect other pieces of hardware, I'd rather not compromise the rest of the computer just to get another week out of this thing.
Thanks for your time.
