i have tryed everything it says and it always goes back to the blue screen. is this old laptop worth fixing? i was told it night be a harddisk problem. thankyou

If all else fails, reinstalling or purchasing a new, cheap hard drive from Newegg is a good choice instead of throwing it away . ;)

 

What's the stop code you are getting? When does it blue screen? Are you able to get to the desktop at all?

Please...post the exact blue screen error message...and tell us at exactly what point during attempted boot that the message pops up.
