Hello, my name is Alfred Norris. I'm 41 years old and live in Montgomery, Alabama, though I've been fortunate to live in so many places both near and foreign.

I'd rate my tech level as a 7 or 7.5 out of 10, with 1 being "help! how do I turn my computer on??", 5 being your average 20-40 year old, and 10 being Stewart Room or the head of CERT.

My first computer was a Apple Lisa my parents were cool enough to buy. I grew up forgetting to eat while playing videogames and coding a bit of basic (later on my Apple IIe and Commodore 64). A friend of my dad's working for IBM told me that if I liked computers, just keep it as a hobby...so now I'm a lawyer who is reasonably versed on somethings but nowhere near the level of the experts in these forums.

Like many others, I've come for help...but hey, that's valid, right? thumbup2.gif

Anyway. Thanks in advance for the help.  I'll be reading all the pinned stuff now and gritting my teeth.
