MY COMPUTER INFO:
Mac OS X Version 10.7.5
Firefox 18.0.2

PROBLEM:
A couple days ago I started having a problem with what I assume is a malware? (I use to watch movies via movie2k.to so maybe here is where I got it>?)

Whenever I go to a website that uses automatic pop-up windows (like the ones in YouTube that open when you click to Share a video to FB or Twitter, as an example) the malware gets activated.

After clicking on the share buttom the new small window appears and starts loading FB or Twitter.  However, a second afterwards the same window is redirectioned to advertisements... sad.png    I already tried using ClamXav and Virus Barrier by Intego Software but I could not fix it.

The problem is that this same malware gets activated in ALL automatic pop-up windows which are actually important (like the ones of my bank website and many other websites).

Can anyone RESCUE ME??? THANKS A LOT  FOR YOUR HELP!

Hi!

I will do my best to try and assist you with the issue you are currently experiencing. I'm going to be completely honest with you here, and the tools that we typically utilize in this forum will not be available to us, as they are capable of running on Windows.

I'm going to need sometime to piece together some instructions for us to try.

In the meantime, would you be able to provide me with any screenshots of some of the advertisements you are seeing?

Thanks,

-ST.

Thanks a lot for the help!

I attach here some screenshots with only 1 second delay between the images for you too see what happens every time a pop-up window opens.

PS: I just realised that if I close the pop-up window and push the share button again it works normally the second time.

Thanks a lot!

Thanks a lot for including those screenshots for me to review.

Could you please go ahead and install this Firefox extension?
