info trasfer from hdd to sata

Had a home fire which destroyed computer cases. The old computer had Win XP pro. Removed harddrive to save personal info. The harddrive is hdd drive has about 3600 songs and other files I want to retrive. The new laptop has Win 7 with a SATA drive. What items do I need to retrive the info, ie adapters, power supply for the Hd, Thanks for any advice......:)

Something like this would work
SABRENT USB-DSC5 Serial ATA (SATA) or IDE 2.5" and 3.5" to USB 2.0 Cable Converter Adapter

or
IDE/SATA to USB 2.0 Cable Adapter - Turn Your 2.5", 3.5" or 5.25" IDE or SATA Drive Into A USB Drive!

either of those comes with everything you need to power and convert to USB a desktop IDE or SATA drive as well as a laptop IDE drive. They hook up via USB.

I haven't used these particular models, however I have used and still have a similar model here for future need.
