It seems that something keeps disabling the startup programs and leaves only 3 running. I've had to manually reset my startup programs in services.msc on 3 occasions now.

Everything that should start automatically gets mysteriously disabled and I go thru the whole process again. Programs that are labeled Manual still seem to stay Manual.

The 3 startup programs that usually survive are a)DCOM Server Process Launcher, b)ESET Service (my antivirus program), and c)Remote Procedure Call (RPC)

2 days ago I ran MalwareBytes and it found 5 issues in C:RECYCLER 4 Trojan.OAcess and 1 Rootkit.OAccess. I cleaned these out. My last scan before the latest 'disable' episode found a clean system according to the mbam-log.

Suggestions? Just tired of having to manually reset the startup programs! Obviously I'm doing something wrong or there is still a virus issue hiding in some deep dark crevice?

Thanks in advance-not sure if I worded the problem correctly.
