I have a dell inspiron running windows 7 home premium. I am trying to load service pack 1, after downloading from windows update and restarting I get the message 'Failure configuring Service Pack' I have disabled the antivirus. Can anyone help?

Microsoft has recognized a problem which occurs often enough that they created the System Update Readiness Tool for Windows 7 to address this, you can download it here.
