issue in media player classic - home cinema

i updated to ver. 1.6.5.6366 of media player classic - home cinema ( the old one was 1.3 )

when i open it it says it is ver. 1.6.5.6366 ( well this is good )

but when i open a video it says it is the ver 1.3 AND there is a little lag in the video

windows media player work fine

so whats wrong with MPC-HC ?

note : i uninstalled it completely and install it again but still the same problem

sounds like you left the old media player still installed - use taskmanger - and processes tab to find out where old is and delete -

OR in the start menu right click on new one - select run as administrator - goto view - then options - under formats there is association click video then apply and ok and see if your videos open with the right one.

I thought you might consider...VLAN. :) Anyway, check this troubleshooting guidelines for MPC http://sourceforge.net/apps/trac/mpc-hc/wiki/Troubleshooting_guidelines . With regards to the version of your current MPC software, check the add or remove programs if 2 instances of MPC are installed.

but there is still the little lag . i think its the bad mpc not my system
