Im having boot.ini problems that I have tried to fix but unable to. I read that I could repair or replace it thru the xp recovery console. Is this rc on the single disc(like the oem cd)or the full version of xp or is it on a seperate disc. Im going to buy one if I can find out which one I need. My pc came with the xp home version but only a restore disc. thank you for the help.

There is an alternative which you can use in lieu of the MS XP CD. See details provided by AustrAlien at ARCDC Disk Creation - http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/topic421198.html/page__p__2424943#entry2424943 .

It might be more beneficial if you tried to explain just what problems you have and why you think that the RC will enable you to overcome such.
