i did a quick google search for PDAgent.exe which says it's perfect disk and does degragmenting...

but how did it get onto this comp? i just did a fresh windows install, and only installed Chrome, Linksys Router, and SuperAntiVirus, and RogersOnline Protection.

Did you check the Properties of the file, Version tab to see if it's from Raxco? Mine's about 900kB. Look in Program Files: PerfectDisk files are in a Raxco folder and the PDAgent.exe is not found in Startup. Perhaps it's a totally different beast.
