Hewlett-Packard HP Compaq dc7600 Convertible Minitower
running XP
Im just going to attatch the Bel-Arc I had of this pc b4 I added a brand new 1GB stick of RAM
When we booted up, the puter recognized it but only showed 1500MB on the new configuration...
Systems is showing only 1.49GB RAM
what happened?
new stick 1GB DDR2 667/533MHz PC2-5300/4200 (edit)
edited again to remove the belarc...I shouldnt have posted the IP stuff...will replace tomorrow as directed

Belarc Advisor doesn't show your changes

You had 512MBx2 in Bank 1 and 4 you added 1GB in 2 or 3

so that is 2GB in your computer

So 512MB is related to the video memory. If Its a integrated GPU the GPU is going to take some of the ram and dedicated to Video Ram

No, that is the Bel Arc B4 I installed the new stick
when opened up, it looked like to me 1 512 in No2 & No4 as Bel Arc states
I put the new stick in No1
I will download & install that 2moro, its my X's pc & I have come home already
