I am having a problem with my mothes computer. Internet works fine until i install virus protection. Once virus protection is enabled the internet won't work. I installed malwarebytes and the same thing happens. I did a manual update via flashdrive and ran both virus scan and malwarebytes and nothing is detected.

I also noticed when Adobe flash tried to update it lost connection too.

Which anti virus are you trying to install?

Try this Winsock fix after installing the AVP.

Doesn't matter which antivirus I have used its the same result. Right now I have Avast installed and I have used winsock fix. Still doesn't work. However if I disable the antivirus I can get back on the internet. But if I enable the antivirus it quits working again.

I've tried AVG, AVAST, Panda,

Hi -
Were each and every one of these uninstalled with the correct tools prior to trying another Antivirus program ??

Please download MiniToolBox, save it to your desktop and run it.

Checkmark the following boxes:

•Flush DNS
•Report IE Proxy Settings
•Reset IE Proxy Settings
•Report FF Proxy Settings
•Reset FF Proxy Settings
•List content of Hosts
•List IP configuration
•List last 10 Event Viewer log
•List Installed Programs
List devices >>(Problem only)<<
•List Users, Partitions and Memory size.
•List Minidump Files

Click Go and copy / paste the result (Result.txt) in your next reply -

Note: When using "Reset FF Proxy Settings" option Firefox should be closed.

Thank You -
