how to install Resque software on HD

please help me,
i can't boot pc at all, so i installed Boot win xp pro with 30 day free trial and its time to get back to the Dell Win XPS 400
hope you can help. thanks

There is no 30 day free trial...of anything called Boot Win XP Pro...that I find on the Web. Please post a link to whatever it is that you are trying to refer to.

i am trying to install the rescue win xp media center software, that is on a partition that came with the dell pc xps 400
at first a problem i had could not start up pc so i got this boot disk from someone and it let me get on win xp pro sp2 but on a differet drive i had to patition
all i want is to get back the pc to work. i was told to do this in dos. thanks kabars

I see no mention of a Rescue CD for Dell systems...the recovery/restore-to-factory-defaults option seems to be the Dell answer to system problems for that system.

I am not familiar with Dell systems...but it seems unlikely that a recovery CD designed for a different model than the one you have...would work properly on your system. The drivers/settings would be all wrong, IMO, but...as I said, I don't have any Dell systems and can't be sure how yours is set up, other than referring to the documentation at the Dell site for your specified system.
