just a few hours ago, a small pot of water spilled directly to my old-ish laptop, and it shut down instantly. I unscrewed the bottom and propped up a fan next to the exposed inside, and now the computer turns on again!
However, the screen does not. Whenever I turn it back off, it does so instantly. The same exactly thing happened to this poor laptop 3 years ago, when a quarter-cup of soda entered through the keyboard. Last summer, it worked again!
But, not as much liquid entered the laptop, so I`m sure the damage isn`t as severe. Plus, the computer still turns on, so I`m not completely hopeless.

I don`t want to spend a bunch of money sending it to GeekSquad or Dell, or wait a long time so it can dry off or whatever. Can anybody tell me what to do to get the monitor working again?
